1. Machine Overview
This is a semi-automatic power battery winding equipment designed and manufactured for prismatic lithium-ion battery cell production, with a longitudinal tape application method. It is specialized in precision winding of prismatic lithium battery cells, including both aluminum case and polymer pouch types. The equipment balances manual operational flexibility and automatic process stability, suitable for medium-batch production scenarios requiring frequent specification switching.
2. Process Flow
1. Material Preparation & Feeding: Operators neatly place positive and negative electrode sheets (with welded tabs) into material cassettes, then manually assist in feeding the sheets into the winding section.
2. Separator Supply: Separator rolls are mounted on material shafts, with the equipment enabling automatic unwinding of the separator.
3. Lamination & Winding: The separator is alternately stacked with the manually fed electrode sheets, and winding is performed automatically according to preset process parameters.
4. Post-Process Automation: After winding completion, a hot-melt welding cutter cuts off the separator; termination tape is automatically attached, and the battery cells are discharged (blanked) automatically.
3. Feature Description
1. Specialized Application: Dedicated to winding prismatic polymer lithium battery cells, with extended adaptation to aluminum case prismatic cells.
- Closed-Loop Constant Tension Control for Separator Unwinding:
o The system detects the float roller angle position signal, transmits it to the PLC for calculation, and the PLC controls the stepper motor to adjust the unwinding speed in real time. A closed-loop control system is formed by "float roller position → PLC → stepper motor → float roller position" to maintain relatively constant separator tension.
o For HCQ-A2-100H / HCQ-A2-130H polymer lithium battery winding machines, the latest cylinder tension control technology of our company is additionally adopted, enabling automatic smooth tension adjustment during the winding process.
o Combined with multi-speed winding, separator unwinding constant tension closed-loop control, and auxiliary tension cylinder automatic adjustment technology (together with vertical tape application), the equipment effectively reduces cell bulging, controls cell over-thickness defects to an extremely low level, solves the "S-shaped" internal defect of cells, and improves battery quality.
3. Flexible Winding Modes: According to cell requirements, options include electrode sheet outer wrapping or separator outer wrapping; the sequence can be "positive electrode first", "negative electrode first", or "simultaneous insertion of positive and negative electrodes".
4. Quick Specification Switching: Adopts a dual-winding-needle combination with a flipping station structure. When producing cells of different specifications, specification parts can be replaced quickly—winding needle replacement can be completed within 10 minutes.
